Next Generation Science Standards: Wyoming State School Board Votes In January

The science standards in Wyoming are up for review.  On October 8th the Wyoming Department of Education presented the Common Core version of science standards to the State School Board (Wyoming Board of Education) as the ONLY set of standards to adopt for review.   In the November meeting the Board requested more information from the Wyoming Department of Education. The next meeting is scheduled for January 23-24th.

There are serious concerns with these standards.  The Wyoming Citizens Opposing Common Core has created this brochure with information regarding these standards.  Please feel free to print and share this brochure.

If you would like to write the State School Board and tell them to VOTE NO on adopting the NEXT Generation Science Standards for the review process, their emails are: joe.reichardt@wyoboards.gov, sue.belish@wyoboards.gov, kathy.coon@wyoboards.gov, pete.gosar@wyo.gov, hugh.hageman@wyoboards.gov, scotty.ratliff@wyoboards.gov, walt.wilcox@wyoboards.gov, kathryn.sessions@wyoboards.gov, belenda.willson@wyoboards.gov, ken.rathbun@wyoboards.gov, ron.micheli@wyoboards.gov
