Contact Congress Now to Sign the Grassely & King Letters to end Federal Involvement in Common Core!

AA009679

The U.S. House and Senate are beginning to prepare their annual budget negotiations creating an opportunity to end federal intrusion regarding education decisions, which should be left up to the states.

Through Race to the Top grants the government was able to entice states to adopt the Common Core.  The US Department of Education needs to be restricted from using federal funds to further advance the Common Core.

Senator Chuck Grassley (IA) and Representative Steve King (IA) are circulating letters to Congressional appropriators asking them to include language in the budget prohibiting the federal government from spending any money to advance the Common Core or their aligned assessments.

It is crucial that as many members of Congress as possible sign these letters by the close of business on March 26th.

Please call your U.S. Representative and two U.S. Senators and urge them to sign the Grassley & King letters
